Meet the Board
Dr. Vicki Zifteh is thrilled to bring a fun and exciting place for play and learning to Florida’s beautiful First Coast. She grew up in Jacksonville and is proud to be raising a family here with her husband Tyler. Her goal for the museum is to not only create a safe environment for kids to explore the world around them, but she also envisions a space for families to connect as a community. Many of you already know her as the Neptune Beach chiropractor (@Dr.Zifteh_Chiropractor) to a number of Jacksonville’s growing families. When she is not in the office or making plans for the museum, you will find her out and about with her family enjoying the Florida sunshine, singing soprano in her choral group, and planning community events with the UCF alumni committee.

Dr. Valerie Miles grew up in mid-Atlantic coast states, met her awesome Jax-native husband at Clemson & earned her MD degree from MUSC in Charleston SC. After training & practicing in Utah & Colorado for several years, they landed here in Jacksonville, where Dr. Miles has owned and operated pediatric practices with a holistic approach for over 20 years. When she’s not helping families raise healthy, thriving grownups @ThriveWellPediatrics, you can find her creating online courses, exercising, gardening, traveling or on a video call with her artist entrepreneur daughter in Denver!

Dr. Elaine Martinez adopted Jacksonville as her permanent home in 1994. She’s a native of Puerto Rico where she grew up, went to school, college and dental school. Jacksonville feels like home, she met her husband and her children were born here. When Dr. Vicki invited her to be part of First Coast Children museum, she was thrilled! What a unique opportunity to leave a legacy and make Jacksonville a better place for children and families! Besides running two practices, Dr. Martinez enjoys traveling with her family, spending time at the beach and creating quilts and journals.
